Brain Bar is a festival that is hosted annually in Budapest. It is a platform where provocative thinkers and doers come together to freely exchange ideas and to grapple with some of the big questions regarding the future of humanity as a whole. Every year, Brain Bar features several international figures – previous events included the likes of PayPal co-founder, Peter Thiel; three Michelin star restaurateur, Massimo Bottura; EU Commissioner for Competition, Margrethe Vestager; sci-fi author, Ted Chiang; Google Vice President, Jacquelline Fuller, former President of Estonia, Toomas Hendrik Ilves; retired Canadian astronaut, Chris Hadfield; Co-Founder of Pirate Bay, Peter Sunde; and the world's first humanoid robot citizen, Sophia!

In 2018, Brain Bar attracted more than 10,000 attendees and a livestream audience of over 38,000. If this isn’t enough, 2,500 students and teachers had the chance to attend the last festival free of charge. As part of their aim to create a challenging, intellectual, and inclusive environment, it is the youth that they remain focused on. Brain Bar will continue this tradition by opening up the free student registration for the next festival in 2019 soon. Early bird tickets will also be available in November 2018.
