Report of Bright Business Solutions – BBS International Case Challenge

International Relations Centre organised the Bright Business Solutions – BBS International Case Challenge was organised for the first time on 5 November 2019 at Budapest Business School Faculty of International Management and Business. The primary aim of the event was to provide a platform for our students enrolled in our programmes offered in foreign languages where they can gain professional experience, network and meet other students.

The initiative of the event is unique because for another reason too: it intends to cover all four strategic goals of the University, namely

  • education which prepares students for career success,
  • promoting applied sciences in social and economic sense,
  • strengthening the cooperation with businesses and external partners and
  • the realization of our goal to be a sustainable and responsible university.

In the field of marketing and sustainability 40 international students have participated and solved a case study, in 10 teams competed in Final “A” and “B” of the international event and presented their works in front of a professional jury from Hungary and Belgium. We were delighted to involve one of the Double Degree partners of BBS, Thomas More University from Belgium. More than 40 Belgian students came as an audience, 10 students participated by giving presentations, and 2 professors were involved in the Evaluation Committee of the Finals.

On behalf of the Budapest Business School we would like to express our special thanks to the two Professional Supporting Organisations of the event, and IMRO - DDKK – Environmental Non-Profit Limited Liability Company, and their representatives, Balázs Máté, Gábor Heves and Bence Cseke. We really appreciate the work of the Executive Organisers, Dr. habil. Zoltán Szabó Ph, Dr. Judit Beke Lisányi, Dr. Dávid Harsányi, and Evaluation Committee members Dr. habil. Krisztina Szegedi PhD Vice-Rector for Research, Tibor Balázs, Andrea Nagy, Teodóra Wiesenmayer, Péter Olajos and Pál Majoros, all of them are outstanding people in their fields.

Hereby, we would like to express our gratitude towards Dr. Katalin Csekő PhD, the patron of the event and the students and colleagues of Budapest Business School University of Applied Sciences Faculty of International Management and Business for hosting the event this year.
