General Information

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

Dear Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Holder Students,

Let us hereby inform you that the new Requirement System for Students of the Budapest Business School has been accepted by the Senate.

You can find the English version of it on the following link:

https://en.uni-bge.hu/Tartalmak/BGE_HKR_Eng.pdf

Please do not forget that both the Requirement System for Students of the Budapest Business School and both the Operating Rules of the Tempus Public Foundation are valid for all Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holder students and they should be known and observed.

We have to inform you as well  that according to the new Requirement System for Students of the Budapest Business School students are required to pay extra charge in the case of re-registrating a subject.

”Subject re-registration fee: If a student fails to complete a subject undertaken in the individual study schedule, they must pay a fee when they register for the same subject again. The fee is HUF 4,900 for the first repeated registration for a subject and HUF 6,900 for each additional repeated registration for the same subject.” - Requirement System for Students of the Budapest Business School, Section 113

All information about fees payable by students (e.g. fee of repeated and corrective exams, etc.) are available in the Requirement System for Students of the Budapest Business School, in Section 113 – titled Fees payable by students.

Moreover, according to the Operating Rules of the Tempus Public Foundation, Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holder students who started their studies in September 2018 are obliged to complete 36 credits by every 2 following semesters in which the student had active status (that is 18 credits/semester in average). If the student does not fulfill the above mentioned strict requirement his/her student status shall be seized and thus the student will automatically lose his/her Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship status.

Please note that this is a minimum requirement and if you organize your studies completing only 18 credits, you will run out of your extension opportunities and you will not be able to finish your studies during the official lengths of the programme, even calculating with the extension opportunities.

Budapest Business School will not support your extension requests if it can be clearly foreseen that the student will not finish his/her studies during the prolongation.

Even if you feel that you will have a difficult semester and for some reason you will not be able to complete the required 30 credits in a semester, if you take only 18 credits/semester, you will be under the minimally required 18 credits, even if you fail the exam from one subject.

For more explanation of the rules or if you need any help or advice, please contact the international coordinators of BBS.

The operational rules of the Stipendium Hungaricum programme can be found on the link below:
