Instructions to the authors

Principles:

Authors should observe high standards with respect to publication ethics. Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the authors’ own work without proper citation can’t be published in the paper. If there is more than one author, consent from all authors is required for publication.

Editorial process:

Along with the editorial process, manuscripts sent to the Editorial staff will be peer-reviewed by corresponding experts. External reviewers will be blinded to the names of the authors and the institution which the manuscripts have been sent from.

Submission of manuscript for publication:

Manuscripts must be sent to the following email address: Domonkos.Endre@uni-bge.hu . The submission must contain two files: the main article file, which at the same time contains basic information about author(s) and a copyright transfer statement, which can be downloaded here.  Submission deadline: ongoing.

Preparation of the main text:

  1. The length of articles is limited to about 7000-8000 words. Only in exceptional cases, studies exceeding this limit can be published.
  2. Articles must begin with a short abstract written by the author(s) not exceeding 300 words.
  3. The text must be aligned to the left margin, and without any text formatting applied (including capitals, larger, or smaller font sizes, and the use of colour, etc.)
  4. Authors are requested to give their scientific degrees and not more than two of their jobs or professional positions.
  5. The text may be subdivided into sections. Each section must have a title and number. Each section can be divided into subsections, numbered according to the scheme 2. , 2.2. etc.
  6. Tables and graphs should be sent in excel or similar format.
  7. The bibliographical references must be given directly in the main text and not in the footnotes using the following form: (Csáki, 2010, p. 25). (Csáki – Kovács, 2010, p. 25) If more than three authors: (Csáki et al. 2010, p.25)
  8. Footnotes can only be used when additional information must be added the body of the text. Footnotes with continuous counting are appearing at the bottom of the page.
  9. The main text is followed by a reference list in ABC order using the following form: Kovacs, F. 2014: Budget Deficit. International Institution. Working Paper. 42. March, pp. 1-15.
  10. Referring to a miscellaneous essay: Small, F. 2007: Convergence in Big Europe. In: Big, R.: Selected studies 2000-2007. Vol. II, Budapest, Nagy Publisher, pp. 226-228.
  11. Referring to an internet publication: Small, F. – Big, R. 2007: Budget Deficit and Convergence. http://www.fisk.hu/info. Downloaded: 15th March, 2007
