Photos from the life of SH Students

The Tempus Public Foundation has organized a welcome event as part of the Stipendium Hungaricum (SH) programme to welcome the new scholarship holders from more than 50 countries, who are starting their studies in Hungary in the academic year 2019/20.

The aim of the event was to show the students the bits and bobs of Hungarian culture. Students were invited to some workshops where they could learn strategies for navigating their new, intercultural environment.

New SH students were greeted at the event by the representatives of the organizations who are responsible for the implementation of the SH Scholarship Program.

The greetings were followed by a reception and students were invited to take part in a community-building intercultural training, and a guided city walk in the downtown of Budapest. The event was an excellent opportunity for students from different parts of the world to meet, get to know each other and our culture.

2 senior SH holder students were also represented at the event, greeted in their speech the new scholarship holders and interpreted useful information to the freshmen.

One of the speakers was Tayssir Khalfallah, president of Youth Enrichment Society (YES), SH students of Budapest Business School Faculty of International Management and Business, who had a motivation speech about the life in Hungary, the importance of studying and not to be afraid of new challenges.

Craig Johnson, student at the Faculty of International Management and Business, founder of the Youth Enrichment Society (YES) received the Rector's Certificate of Merit for his community service activities at the Budapest Business School’s Opening Ceremony of the academic year 2019/2020.
